Christopher & Alida Latham CAB

Christopher is retired from a 40-year career in information systems management and consulting. His work ranged from national financial institutions to, finally, the University of Washington. He remains active as a frequent world traveler who is also a supporter of both local and international non-profit organizations. His education includes a B.A. in anthropology and graduate study in computer science.

In 1969, Alida bought a Pentax Spotmatic camera for her first trip to East Africa. The camera gave her a way to share the excitement of her experience with others. She went on to pursue degrees in ceramics, theater design and, eventually, a BFA in metal smithing from the University of Washington.

Driven by an interest in collecting tribal art and artifacts, she and her husband have traveled extensively in remote regions of the world. As a result, she documented many peoples and places, and many of her images have been used as stock photography. In addition to her photographic efforts, Alida has been an enthusiastic member of the Washington Women's Foundation for several years. Alida shares Christopher’s interest in philanthropic activities, supporting a wide range of non-profit and governmental efforts both locally and worldwide.
